Renovation of sedimentation tanks in water purification with GRP

For Delfluent Services, we carried out a concrete renovation on the sedimentation tanks of the Houtrust purification plant in The Hague.

The concrete elements of the overflow channels on the two sedimentation tanks had, over time and due to H2S erosion, suffered from concrete decay at the upper edges.

An additional (major) problem was the flow rate difference that occurred due to the varying heights in the overflow edges.

After consultation, it was decided to re-line the concrete upper edges with a "custom-made" GRP piece.

In total, for this re-lining project, we produced and installed 144 m1 of GRP pieces.
