Mirror welding of egg-shaped sewer pipes

In The Hague, we were approached by HABO GWW for a special assignment. The old egg-shaped sewer pipes (600/900) on Binckhorstlaan are difficult to replace through open excavation for logistical reasons. Therefore, they are fitted with a pre-shaped PE pipe (500/700). This is slid into the old sewer pipe over a distance of approximately 30 meters. The space between the existing sewer and the inserted PE pipe is filled with aerated concrete.

For this task, we have modified one of our machines to be able to weld the egg-shaped pipe.
