Water distribution pipelines for the Ardo vegetable factory in Ardooie
In Ardooie, purified wastewater from the vegetable processing company Ardo is distributed from a buffer basin of 150,000 m³ to nearby farms. We are responsible for installing the pipelines for this distribution.
Reuse of effluent
In agriculture, water is an indispensable resource. However, due to increasing climate change, there is a growing incidence of drought. The scarcity of groundwater means that alternative water sources must be sought. With funding from the European Commission, the F2AGRI project facilitates the reuse of purified industrial wastewater (effluent). RKT is contributing to this project by installing over 30 km of pipelines and the associated connection pits in Ardooie, Belgium.
